“We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer. People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives. Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:1-3
This verse is a constant reminder that God’s plan is the right plan for my life. If I’m being honest though, that is much easier said than done. I’m a planner and like to know what I’m going to be doing all the time. It is really easy to say that my plan is what God wants for my life, however the majority of the time that isn’t the truth. Usually I’m just trying to say that to reassure myself that I’m doing the right thing even when I’m not. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “let go and let God” a million times before but I feel like it is such an important thing to remember everyday because so many times we want to control our lives. However, what God has in store for us is so much greater than we could ever plan for ourselves.
Lord, thank You for constantly providing in my life. Please remind me that my life is in Your hands and I have to let go and let Your will be done. Help me to follow the plans that You have for my life instead of following my own. I know that You will not lead me astray and will guide me along the right path.
