“Now I… praise and exalt and glorify the King of Heaven, because everything He does is right and all His ways are just, and those who walk in pride He is able to humble.” Daniel 4:37
We live in a culture where people are glory seekers, from the athlete to the politician. Even the philanthropist doesn’t mind having his name on the side of the building. Are we willing to give all the glory to the King of Heaven, or are we choosing to seek the glory of men? If we seek man’s approval, we have received our reward in full.
Dear Father, the King of Heaven, please accept our humble prayer. We choose to bow and give You all the honor now and always. May we not need to learn this lesson the hard way, like Nebuchadnezzar who took years of humiliation before he learned to bow.
