Building Our Future

Building Our Future

If you plan to climb one of the highest mountains in the world or explore the uncharted waters of the Amazon forest you need one very important thing to help you on your journey – a base camp. A base camp is a main encampment that provides supplies, shelter and communication for adventurers and explorers. The base camp becomes the center of all such activity and the launching pad for new and even more exciting adventures and explorations.

Construction will begin soon on the new building at Shawnee Trail. This new building will serve as a “base camp” where the Shawnee Trail family will engage in new and exciting adventures in sharing the love of Jesus to our community. We should be excited about the possibilities of ministry and service to the community that our new building will provide.

You most likely will never climb Mt. Everest or explore the Amazon rainforest, but God has placed us in a very exciting time and a very exciting place. Our community is one of the fastest growing areas in the United States that has seen exponential growth over the last 20 years. Let’s use the new “base camp” that God has given us to have an ever greater impact in Frisco and beyond.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
