Children’s Ministry

At Shawnee Trail children are a priority. We are living out Proverbs 22:6 which says, “Start children in the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” At Shawnee Trail we encourage our children to seek and embrace Jesus, and we are there to joyfully guide them on their journey. We have several ways your child and entire family can engage in our children’s ministry. If you have any questions, contact Missy Ashmore.

  • Participatory Worship: We want our children to be active participants in worship so we have developed curicculum (children’s bulletin’s, worksheets that coincide with sermon, coloring pages for littles, etc) to teach our children how to be involved and engaged in a more meaningful way.
  • Bible Class: On Sundays between worship services, we hold Bible classes with a curriculum geared toward each age group. These classes serve to spiritually nourish and instruct our students. Sunday Bible classes help lay the foundation for our children as they build their faith.
  • Special Events: We have regular special activities for our kids and families to participate in and get to know each other. Each quarter we host an event that is open to all ages of our children’s ministry. From the Easter Egg hunt in the Spring to Trunk or Treat in the Fall, there is a way for all of our students to get together and have fun.
